NSDRC SSDLUX High Performance Steering Conversion Kit

The NSDRC SSDLUX High Performance Steering Conversion Kit was engineered to dramatically improve steering performance, steering efficiency, geometry, and durability on standard SSDLUX axle platforms.

Unlike traditional flat-mounted servo setups, our system rotates the servo into a vertical mounting position to create significantly improved steering geometry and more efficient power transfer throughout the full steering cycle. By correcting the relationship between the servo horn and steering knuckle, steering movement becomes smoother, more consistent, and more efficient under load.

The optimized linkage geometry also repositions the mounting point further outward on the steering knuckle, greatly improving leverage efficiency. This allows the servo to generate more steering force while reducing overall strain, heat, and current draw.

In testing, the NSDRC SSDLUX Steering System showed up to a 50% increase in steering force at the knuckle. Unlike carbon fiber mounts that can flex or twist under heavy load, the NSDRC system maintains rigidity and precise steering control.

All major components are precision CNC machined from premium 7075 aluminum for maximum strength and durability.

Complete Hardware Kit

The included servo horn and drag link lengths are specifically designed to work together for optimal steering geometry and simple bolt-on installation. Depending on chassis configuration, minor drag link adjustment may be required.

The SSDlux mount is designed with the servo mounted from the underside of the bracket. For installation, first secure the new mount to the truss assembly, then attach the servo to the mount. Next, install the skid onto the axle. Once these components are assembled, complete the installation by attaching the mount and truss assembly to the axle.
